For this school project in 2013, I was part of the conception team for the environment design and Level Artist.
10 Person team project during 3 months using Unreal Development Kit. (UDK)
I did some Concept Art with the blueprints and design for the wall stylisation
Responsible Level Artist for this project
- Ability to break linear patterns and be careful to not lay out items in an orderly manner since it's an orphanage.
- Need to tell a story with the items lying around. Each plant, rock, root (etc.) are separate assets.
- Creating different compositions and scale to break repetition.
- Troubleshooting for the game environment problems and collisions.
- Think how to place the assets in a way that looks good for both top view of the camera angle available
